Milton Youth Soccer Club Joins 2026 World Cup Kick-Off Event at The Empire Club of Canada
Last Thursday, Milton Youth Soccer Club proudly represented our community at the prestigious kick-off event for the 2026 World Cup, hosted at The Empire Club of Canada. Amidst the grandeur of one of Toronto’s esteemed venues, the event marked a significant moment for soccer enthusiasts worldwide, including our dedicated members.
The gathering was honoured by the presence of Victor Montagliani, President of CONCACAF, alongside other esteemed guests. Leading our delegation was Phil Ionadi, President of Milton Youth Soccer Club, accompanied by key figures from our organization, including Gina Alfieri, Vice President; Manuel Vera, Secretary; Ted Tomlin, Treasurer; and David Benning, Director of Soccer Operations. Additionally, our promising young talents, Kai from the U16 team and Marcus from the U14 team, showcased the club’s commitment to nurturing future soccer stars.
Hosted by The Empire Club of Canada, the event provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss and celebrate the upcoming 2026 World Cup, set to be hosted jointly by Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
