Youth Summer Outdoor House League Soccer
Registration for the MYSC outdoor house league program is now open. Please note that age groups fill quickly so register early to guarantee your child a spot. All programs follow the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model as outlined by the Canadian Soccer Association.
Long Term Player Development (LTPD) Model
This program is referred to as the Active Start component of LTPD. The summer session begins mid- May and runs 12 weeks with a finals day at the end of the season. MYSC runs this program with volunteer coaches working alongside our trained technical staff. There are no referees at this age group. All players will participate in fun skills and drills and then break off into teams to play small sided games. All sessions are 1 hour in length. All players will receive a team photo and medal/trophy.
Ages U7 -U12
This program is referred to as the Fundamentals (U7/U8) and the Learn to Train (U9-U12) component of LTPD. The U7-U12 summer House League program begins mid- May and runs 14 weeks until the end of August. All teams are assigned a volunteer Coach and play 14 games. Each team also receives 10 technical sessions with our highly trained technical staff. Every player will receive a team photo as well as a medal/trophy. Referees/ Game Leaders will be used for all games.
This program is referred to as the Soccer For Life component of LTPD. The U13-U18 program runs for 14 weeks beginning mid- may and running until the end of August. Each team will be assigned a volunteer coach and will play 14 games. Practices times and locations will be assigned and the volunteer coaches will be responsible for running these practices. Our Technical director or one of the Head Technical staff will offer guidance to all coaches as well as run 2 of the sessions. An end of the year playoff tournament will decide the Gold and Silver medals awarded to this age group. Referees will be used for all games.
MYSC offers a Summer Skills program for Youth U7-U10. Each session runs once a week for 1 hour for 10 weeks and is coached by our highly qualified Senior Technical Staff. The focus is on the advanced development of skills using a variety of fun technical drills.
